On Friday, the Juab Wasps's game was all tied up 16-16 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They secured a 41-36 W over Union. Given Juab's advantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while Union is ranked 84th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Juab's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Austin Park, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Bailey, who scored 11 points.
Juab pushed their record up to 5-1 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.5 points per game. As for Union, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Juab will be home for the holidays to greet Emery at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Union will take on Uintah at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Uintah is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
