Mariner gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Lehigh Lightning. For the Tritons, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 win the Lightning walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Mariner had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 25-19, 25-21, 25-20.

Lehigh's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Mariner will host South Fort Myers at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lehigh, they will head out to challenge East Lee County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
