Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Sumner Stingrays walked away with it. They were the clear victor by a 66-42 margin over the Mustangs. Sumner has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 23 points or more this season.
Jabory Nelson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds. He also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sean Chaplin, who scored six points along with two steals.
The win (which was Sumner's third in a row) raised their record to 18-9. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points per game. As for Lakewood Ranch, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-16.
Sumner does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lakewood Ranch also has no future games currently scheduled.
