After four games on the road, North East is heading back home. They will take on the Fairview Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North East knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Fairview likes a good challenge.
North East posted their biggest victory yet this season on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 56-33 margin over Iroquois. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory North East has posted against Iroquois since January 3, 2020.
Meanwhile, Fairview came up short against Girard on Friday and fell 49-36. While losing is never fun, Fairview can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 454th, while Girard is ranked 55th).
North East pushed their record up to 8-3 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 25 points. As for Fairview, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9.
North East couldn't quite finish off Fairview in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 and fell 62-60. Can North East avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
