Discovery Canyon was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight  defeat. They came up short against  the Lewis-Palmer Rangers, falling  3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Thunder of the  3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in October of 2024.
 Discovery Canyon was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the  third set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-15,  25-23.
 Lexi Haughian paced Discovery Canyon's offense, picking up seven kills. Haughian got some help from  Ava Grimm and her eight assists. Haughian also made an impact serving:  she shared the team lead in aces with  Riley Eimerbrink, each putting up two.
Discovery Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Lewis-Palmer, the  victory was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-7.
