After flying high against Columbus last Friday, Sigourney-Keota came back down to earth. Sigourney-Keota came up short against Wapello on Friday, falling 14-24. Sigourney-Keota were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Wapello apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat from the last time the teams met up.
The loss dropped Sigourney-Keota's record to 5-3. The win got Wapello back to even at 4-4.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week Sigourney-Keota take on Mediapolis at 7:00 PM. Sigourney-Keota's defense better steel itself: Mediapolis are averaging 37.63 points per game. Wapello will be staying on the road, facing off against Columbus. Columbus are limping into the matchup on a eight-game losing streak.
