Marist waltzed into their match on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Stayton Eagles by a score of 60-53. That's more bragging rights for the Spartans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Marist is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.9 points per game. As for Stayton, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 9-3.

Marist will look to defend their home court on Friday against Marshfield at 5:45 p.m. Marshfield will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Marist surely won't give up without a fight. As for Stayton, they will face off against Madras at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
