After flying high against the Rochester Warriors last Wednesday, the Aberdeen Bobcats came back down to earth. Aberdeen took a 66-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grizzlies. Aberdeen was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Grizzlies apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
When it comes to explaining why Aberdeen lost on Friday, one person who can't be blamed is Baylor Ainsworth. Despite the final result, he scored 33 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ainsworth has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Isaac Garcia, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Aberdeen has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Hoquiam, the win got them back to even at 9-9.
Aberdeen will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Highclimbers at 7:00 p.m. As for Hoquiam, they will head out on the road to challenge the Cruisers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Eatonville has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 21.
