OREGON CITY, Ore. -
Lake Oswego (Ore.) extended its winning streak to nine games with a 46-13 victory over Oregon City (Ore.) on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a
Mitch Lomax touchdown run in the first quarter, the Lakers led 33-7 at the half.
Lake Oswego expanded its lead to 39 points entering the fourth quarter. LO scored two times in the third, including once on a
Nick Underwood touchdown run.
Justen Ruppe stood out for the Lakers in the win. The senior quarterback threw three touchdowns. He has now scored four touchdowns on the season.
Lake Oswego went into the matchup giving up only 11.3 points per game.
A 31-13 Lake Oswego victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
The loss comes after Oregon City defeated Clackamas 42-36 last week. The loss snapped the Pioneers' 2-game winning streak.
