Hartford faced Mount Anthony in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Hurricanes were the clear victors by a 47-21 margin over the Patriots. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 27-7.

When it comes to explaining why Mount Anthony lost, don't look at Asa Reis. Despite the final result, he rushed for 114 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. Reis showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 57 yards.

Hartford has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 40.0 points this season. As for Mount Anthony, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
