Adding to the longest winning streak in Independent Christian of GA/AL (8 Man) this week, Holy Ground Baptist Academy beat Heritage Christian 51-6. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
Holy Ground Baptist Academy took down the Crusaders 51-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Demo Agan threw for 83 yards and 2 touchdowns during the win.
Ballard Christian's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jarrett Scott threw for 164 and 3 touchdowns and Dalton Starling had 75 yards receiving. On the ground Scott contributed 96 yards. Cole Clark helped Ballard Christian's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 40 yards.
He was 10-15 with 1 interception.
Scott was the best running back in the league this week. In 20 carries, he ran for 96 yards as Ballard Christian fell to Lafayette Christian. Teammate Jared Guden added to the ground attack by rushing for 56 yards.
Scott has thrown for 846 yards and 15 touchdowns this season, while Starling has 23 catches for 409 yards. Scott also leads the league in rushing with 856 yards.
The marquee game in Independent Christian of GA/AL (8 Man) this week will be the clash between Buddy Hammock's team and CrossPointe Christian Academy. Ballard Christian enters the game ranked ninth in the state, while CrossPointe Christian Academy ranks 10th.
Lafayette Christian made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 852 from 962. The improvement was largely due to a 40-30 victory over Ballard Christian last week.
