The Central Academy Cougars pushed their score all the way to 55 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 64-55 to Montgomery Central. Central Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Cougars players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zach Mcdowell, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds. Mcdowell is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now stole two or more in the last three games he's played. Michael Hoff was another key contributor, scoring 23 points.
Central Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Montgomery Central, their victory bumped their record up to 1-2.
Central Academy will stay at home for another game and welcome Union Academy at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th. Union Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Montgomery Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Southern Lee at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Southern Lee is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
