3A District 1 recap Oct. 3, 2012
Brock Lamle and Zach Hill provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Bridge Creek. The connection went for 76 yards, the longest such play in 3A District 1 this season.
Tuttle extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Little Axe, 56-0. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Blanchard's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Lamle threw for 139 and three touchdowns and Hill had 93 yards receiving. On the ground Braden Stringer chipped in 79 yards. Kyle Self helped Blanchard's passing attack out by catching one ball for 19 yards.
Self made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Lions bested the Bobcats. The 5-foot-10 senior forced one fumble and recorded one fumble.
Blanchard's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Lions feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Lamle has thrown for 901 yards and 17 touchdowns this season, while Hill has 15 catches for 301 yards. Stringer leads the league in rushing with 404 yards.
A big matchup in 3A District 1 this week will be when Blanchard takes on Marlow. As it stands, Jeff Craig's team is in second, while the Outlaws are in fourth.
Tuttle took down the Indians 56-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
