Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Laurel Christian Lions walked away with it. They walked away with a 61-50 victory over the Eagles on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Laurel Christian.
DJ White went supernova for Laurel Christian, scoring 27 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points White has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Alex Carmichael, who scored ten points.
Laurel Christian has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-15 record this season. As for Porter's Chapel Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.
Laurel Christian will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Lamar Christian at 6:30 p.m. on February 9th. Lamar Christian will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something Laurel Christian surely won't give up without a fight. Porter's Chapel Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
