Murray got a massive performance out of Savana Whitlock, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Those five RBI gave Whitlock a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Suzie Christensen, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.
Murray always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .750. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .512 or higher in six consecutive contests.
The win got Murray back to even at 5-5. As for Park City, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.
Murray's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Park City has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.2 hits per game. It's a different story for Murray, though, as they've been averaging 9.1 hits. Given Park City's sizable advantage in that area, the Spartans will need to find a way to close that gap.
