The Millersburg Indians lost against the East Juniata Tigers back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Millersburg took a 43-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of East Juniata. Millersburg has not had much luck with East Juniata recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Several Indians players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Chase Romberger, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and four blocks. Romberger hasn't dropped below two blocks for nine straight games. Kamdyn Heintzelman was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five assists and three steals.
East Juniata's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Simon Svicky, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Svicky has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Clark Ritzman, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds.
Millersburg bumped their record down to 5-9 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for East Juniata, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-9.
Millersburg will challenge Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for East Juniata, they will be playing at home against Susquenita at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
