If DePaul Cristo Rey hoped to take revenge for the 59-47 loss against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
DePaul Cristo Rey's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Britain Starks, who scored 14 points, and Christian Taylor-Thomas who scored 12 points. Taylor-Thomas continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
DePaul Cristo Rey's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-9. As for Spencer Center, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. DePaul Cristo Rey will face off against Riverview East Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Spencer Center, they will head out on the road to challenge Norwood at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Norwood is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
