Basketball Recap: Boomer Vowels Key Part of a Team Effort in Mustangs Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Galloway, Fulton Science Academy was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They walked away with a 50-41 victory over the Atlanta Jewish Academy Jaguar. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 55-51 back in November of 2024.

Fulton Science Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Boomer Vowels, who went 6 for 15 en route to 17 points and five assists. That's the most points Vowels has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Lucas Marks, who posted 11 points.

Despite the loss, Atlanta Jewish Academy still got an impressive performance from Aryeh Cohen, who put up 15 points and seven boards. Benjamin Smolensky was another key player, putting up four points and ten rebounds.

Fulton Science Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Atlanta Jewish Academy, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season.

Fulton Science Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 71-53 defeat against The King's Academy on the 4th. Atlanta Jewish Academy has also already played their next game, an 80-56 loss against Rock Springs Christian Academy on the 4th.
