Baseball Recap: Skyridge Wins Going Away Against Mountain Crest

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Dixie, Skyridge was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 17-6 margin over the Mountain Crest Mustangs. The contest marked the Falcons' most dominant win of the season so far.

Hank Grover made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Grover was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI.

In other batting news, Miles Robinson was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-4. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Greyson Bauer, who scored three runs while going 4-for-4.

Skyridge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .565. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Skyridge's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Mountain Crest, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

The future could be bright for both Skyridge and Mountain Crest: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Skyridge will look to extend East's three-game losing streak when they meet at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Mountain Crest will try to hand Green Canyon their seventh-straight defeat when the two meet at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
