The Archbishop Carroll Bulldogs will square off against the Palmer Trinity Falcons at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Archbishop Carroll's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last six matchups.
Archbishop Carroll stacked a sixth blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past Ransom Everglades 35-13.
Archbishop Carroll got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Isaza out in front who rushed for 132 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. Ryan Castro also helped out as he racked up 123 rushing yards.
Another reason for the win was Archbishop Carroll's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for seven sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Kendrick Pembleton and Ivan Quesada who racked up six sacks between them.
Meanwhile, Palmer Trinity can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent contest on Thursday. They blew past Marathon 40-10 on the road. The win was just what Palmer Trinity needed coming off of a 45-20 defeat in their prior match.
Williams went supernova for Palmer Trinity, rushing for 145 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. Lou Kipp was in the mix as well, providing Palmer Trinity with two touchdowns.
Archbishop Carroll's win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-1. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 41 points. As for Palmer Trinity, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
Keep an eye on the end zone in Friday's game as Archbishop Carroll and Palmer Trinity haven't had much trouble getting there this season. Archbishop Carroll commands a daunting offense this season, having averaged 5.4 touchdowns per game. However, it's not like Palmer Trinity struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.8 per game. With these two high-octane teams facing off on Friday, fans should be in for an exciting offensive matchup.
