Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Southern Academy

While Southern Academy's victory against Coosa Valley Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Southern Academy Cougars had just enough and edged out the Coosa Valley Academy Rebels 4-3 on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Cougars sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Southern Academy's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Coosa Valley Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-11.

Southern Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Jackson Academy at 6:00 p.m. on March 20th. The last three games Southern Academy has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Coosa Valley Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 15-1 win against Heritage Christian Academy on the 10th.
