Madison-Grant is 1-6 against Lapel since April of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Argylls will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. Madison-Grant is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.
On Tuesday, Madison-Grant needed a bit of extra time to put away Frankton. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Eagles, sneaking past 3-2. The Argylls haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Dylan Martin, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Levi Nelson, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Lapel came tearing into Monday's matchup with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.1 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Eagles as they made off with a 12-2 victory. Considering the Bulldogs have won 15 contests by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Rylie Hudson made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Hudson was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs.
In other batting news, Darl Gustin was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Eli Suchocki, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Lapel kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in five consecutive games.
Lapel pushed their record up to 20-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.4 runs over those games. As for Madison-Grant, their win bumped their record up to 13-8.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Madison-Grant has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Lapel struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 5.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Madison-Grant suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to Lapel in their previous meeting back in April. Will the Argylls have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
