Keniel Marrero made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-4. He is also on a roll when it comes to home runs, as he's now launched at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Taravella). They put the hurt on Pompano Beach with a sharp 13-2 victory on Monday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Trojans as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
John Almeida looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.
On the hitting side, Taravella got a massive performance out of JC Martinez, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance also gave Martinez a new career-high in doubles (two). Anthony Toizol was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.
Taravella kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
