Soccer Recap: Mid Valley Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

Mid Valley's match on Wednesday was close up to the half, but then they kicked things up a notch. They never let the North Pocono Trojans get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. Considering Mid Valley have won eight contests by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit North Pocono with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Sofia Goetter, Addison Frein, and Gwen Mazur.

Mid Valley's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four games. As for North Pocono, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mid Valley will face off against Old Forge at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Mid Valley will need to watch out since Old Forge have now posted at least four goals in their last four contests. As for North Pocono, they will take on Delaware Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
