Verdigris had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the four-goal drubbing they dealt Commerce on Thursday. The Cardinals put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 5-1 win. That four goal margin sets a new team best for Verdigris this season.

Verdigris now has a winning record of 4-3-1. As for Commerce, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-5.

Verdigris does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Commerce, they will head out to challenge Sequoyah at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
