It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Bothell ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Hazen Highlanders 4-3. Winning may never get old, but the Cougars sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Bothell saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin McClaren, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI.

Bothell pushed their record up to 7-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Hazen, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Bothell didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 5-3 loss against Juanita on the 4th. As for Hazen, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Liberty on the 4th.
