Rifle was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They lost to the Aspen Skiers at home  by a   56-41 margin. The Bears were not able to make up for their  defeat to the Skiers from their previous meeting  back in February.

 Rifle lost  despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being   Alex Gonzalez, who  went 6 for 12  on his way to 14  points and six  assists. Those six  assists gave  Gonzalez a new career-high.  Adan Medina was another key player,  putting up eight points.
  Giovanni Seeman went supernova for Aspen,  going 10 of 15  on his way to 26  points along with eight  boards and three  steals. The team also got some help courtesy of  Henry Hurd, who  went 5 of 8  on his way to 10 points in addition to seven  rebounds and three  steals.
Rifle's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Aspen,  the  victory  got them back to even at 1-1.
 Rifle wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  contest,  a  68-47  defeat against St. Mary's on the 7th. As for Aspen, they also  didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  50-40  win against Coal Ridge on the 7th.
