Dublin Scioto's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alec Rothe, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 16 rebounds. Those 15 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Niah Smedley, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Dublin Scioto and bumps their season record up to 3-4. As for Westland, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dublin Scioto will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Canal Winchester at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th. Canal Winchester presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Dublin Scioto in Ohio (Canal Winchester is ranked 98th, while Dublin Scioto is ranked 522nd). As for Westland, they will head out on the road to face off against Central Crossing at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Central Crossing focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Friday.
