Having just played yesterday, the Purvis Tornadoes will get right back to it and host the West Marion Trojans at 4:00 p.m. on December 19th. Hopefully Purvis focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 on Monday.
On Monday, Purvis took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 57-21 win over Sacred Heart. That looming 57-21 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Purvis yet this season.
Systren Eliza Elenus continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. The match was her sixth in a row with at least ten points. Lillee Crider was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Meanwhile, West Marion was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap last Friday as they fell 39-34 to East Marion. West Marion has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Purvis is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for West Marion, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Purvis strolled past West Marion in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a score of 46-32. Does Purvis have another victory up their sleeve, or will West Marion turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
