Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Oconto Falls). They blew past the Marinette Marines 78-53 on Friday. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Oconto Falls' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jj Pytleski, who went 7 of 13 en route to 18 points along with six steals and five boards. That's the most points Pytleski has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jameson Beaman, who went 9 of 21 on his way to 22 points.

Oconto Falls was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive contests.

With the win, Oconto Falls broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-4. As for Marinette, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Oconto Falls will face off against Denmark at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Marinette, they will venture away from home to take on Menominee at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
