Wilkes Central scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell to the West Iredell Warriors 48-43. The Eagles' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ruth Privette, who posted 11 points and six rebounds. Privette is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Kaylee Johnson, who had ten points and six rebounds.

Wilkes Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for West Iredell, with the victory, they broke their 20-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-5.

Wilkes Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 63-10 loss against Surry Central on the 11th.
