The Bad Axe Hatchets will take on the Port Huron Red Hawks in a holiday battle at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday at. Bad Axe is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
Last Friday, Bad Axe was the victim of a rough 52-30 defeat at the hands of Cass City. While losing is never fun, Bad Axe can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 359th, while Cass City is ranked 31st).
Meanwhile, Port Huron scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 83-53 victory over Marine City on the road. With Port Huron ahead 50-29 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Bad Axe now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Port Huron, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.
