Center Point extended their losing streak  to three  on Friday, dropping them down to 1-4. They were beaten by the St. Clair County Fighting Saints 47-9. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Fighting Saints apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in September of 2024.
As for St. Clair County, their win bumped their record up to 3-1. The high-scoring effort was just what they needed considering they were shut out in their previous   match.
  Randy Pettway continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 180 yards and four  TDs on only 14 carries. With that strong performance,  he is now averaging an impressive 107.8  rushing yards per game.
 Center Point will have a little extra prep time after the  loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Moody at 7:00  p.m.  on October 3. As for St. Clair County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Shelby County  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
