Williamstown is 1-9 against Simon Kenton since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Williamstown Demons will head out on the road to take on the Simon Kenton Pioneers at 7:30 p.m. Williamstown knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matches -- so hopefully Simon Kenton likes a good challenge.
Williamstown scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. Everything went their way against Heritage Academy as Williamstown made off with a 86-61 win. The victory was just what Williamstown needed coming off of a 84-56 loss in their prior game.
Meanwhile, Simon Kenton's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 66-55 to Walton-Verona. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
The losing side was boosted by Jay Bilton, who scored 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Polly, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Williamstown pushed their record up to 10-2 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Simon Kenton, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
Williamstown was dealt a bruising 77-42 defeat at the hands of Simon Kenton in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Williamstown was down 44-21.
