The Mountain View Mountain Lions lost against the Poudre Impalas back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Mountain View took a 55-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Poudre. Mountain View has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Leading Poudre to victory were Kavi Voglund and Jaqueline Forrest. Voglund scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals, while Forrest scored 18 points along with 4 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Voglund has scored at least 25% of Poudre's points. Hailey Brewster was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 7 rebounds.
Mountain View's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Poudre, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.
Mountain View will take on Fossil Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Poudre won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Rangeview at 5:00 p.m. on December 8th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Rangeview is ranked 101st, while Poudre is ranked 89th).
