Anabelle Vinson and Sophie Gansebom certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Vinson scored ten points, while Gansebom scored eight points along with six rebounds. Gansebom scored a full 29.6% of Osmond/Randolph's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Osmond/Randolph struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Osmond/Randolph's loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-6. As for Hartington-Newcastle, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-3.
Osmond/Randolph will head out on the road to face off against Elkhorn Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Elkhorn Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Saturday. Hartington-Newcastle will be home for the holidays to greet Boyd County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Boyd County comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
