Tuttle scored a stunning upset when it knocked off Blanchard, 56-34. At the time, the Lions were ranked ninth in the state, while the Tigers were 26th.
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Tuttle, who took down ninth ranked Blanchard, 56-34.
Brock Lamle and Brock Lamle gave Jeff Craig's team a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Lamle threw for 249 yards and two touchdowns, while Lamle ran for 113 yards. Teammate Braden Stringer added to the ground attack by rushing for 42 yards.
Steven Dye was the best wideout in 3A District 1 this week as Little Axe lost to Mount St. Mary. Dye racked up six receptions for 144 yards. Jacob Sheppard helped Little Axe's passing attack out by catching three balls for 60 yards.
Blanchard's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Lions feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Lamle has thrown for 1626 yards and 21 touchdowns this season, while Zach Hill has 36 catches for 606 yards. Stringer leads the league in rushing with 770 yards.
Philip Koons' team was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after topping the Lions. The Tigers came in at 12 in the state poll after placing at number 26 last week.
