The Burns Broncs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They strolled past Pine Bluffs with points to spare, taking the game 51-34. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Burns.
Burns' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jordan Griess led the charge by scoring 20 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Griess has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Kopetzky, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Burns' win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-8. As for Pine Bluffs, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.
Burns will head out on the road to square off against Lingle-Fort Laramie at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pine Bluffs, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Guernsey-Sunrise at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
