The Bryant Hurricanes will head out on the road to challenge the Baker Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Bryant comes in on three and Baker on eight.
Bryant is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Davidson a 15-0 shutout on Monday. The Hurricanes not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since February 22, 2024.
Madelyn Ladnier made a big impact no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and five RBI.

In other batting news, Bryant let Breighlyn Hasting and Baylee Rone run wild. Hasting went 2-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and two RBI, while Rone scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those three runs gave Rone a new career-high. Bre Parsons was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Bryant kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Davidson didn't got any hits.
Meanwhile, Baker got the win against Theodore on Thursday by a conclusive 19-2. Considering the Hornets have won 13 contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
The team relied heavily on Gabrielle Peterson, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Kristina Lapeyrouse, who scored three runs while going 2-for-2.
Baker's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 27-11. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for Bryant, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 6-19.
Bryant came up short against Baker when the teams last played back in March, falling 6-3. Can the Hurricanes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
