Gary West Side came tearing into Saturday's game with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victor by a 60-38 margin over the Tindley Tigers. 60 seems to be a good number for the Cougars as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Henri Maye, who posted six points and 13 boards. Maye is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Wilson Makori, who scored ten points and six boards.

Gary West Side has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.6 points per game. As for Tindley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gary West Side will take on 21st Century Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. 21st Century Charter is on a three-game streak of home wins, Gary West Side a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Tindley, they will challenge Heritage Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Heritage Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
