On Friday Sacopee Valley take on Old Orchard Beach at 7:00 PM. Neither Sacopee Valley nor Old Orchard Beach could muster much offensive firepower in their last games, so look to the defense to decide this one.
Last Friday, Sacopee Valley couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They might be aching after a bruising 0-30 loss to Camden Hills. Sacopee Valley were down by 0-22 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Meanwhile, Old Orchard Beach had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They fell to Maranacook 0-8.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a defeat, both will be hungry for the victory. Hopefully the teams can find a way to make up for their last outings by putting some points on the board this time.
