Boyceville waltzed into their match on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Glenwood City Hilltoppers a 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.
Aubrey Malean made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over six innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.
