1A Conference 6 recap November 5, 2013
West Montgomery extended the longest winning streak in 1A Conference 6 this week by beating South Davidson, 56-0. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Warriors.
West Montgomery took down the Wildcats 56-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Caleb Drake threw for 46 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 49 yards in the win.
Craig Twele put up the best numbers through the air as Union Academy fell to Albemarle. He finished with 11 completions for 146 yards and 1 touchdown. Twele's favorite target this week was Logan Pautz, who caught 7 passes for 124 yards.
The leading receiver in the league this season is Timmie White. The Albemarle star has 21 catches for 727 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when East Montgomery takes on Nick Eddins' team. The Eagles are currently in fourth, while the Warriors are in first.
West Montgomery led the league in scoring this week after putting up 56 points on South Davidson. Drake ran for 49 yards during the win.
