Volleyball Recap: Lexington Gets the Win

While Lexington's win against Lindsay Lane Christian Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Golden Bears sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Lions on Saturday. The Golden Bears have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lions, too.

Matti Shook paced Lexington's offense, picking up six kills. Shook got some help from Katelyn Sullivan and her 17 assists. Macy Davis controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Lexington has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-10 record this season. As for Lindsay Lane Christian Academy, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Lexington wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Meek on the 30th. As for Lindsay Lane Christian Academy, they are taking a road trip to take on Tanner at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
