After a string of three wins, the Indian Creek Eagles's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. The matchup between Indian Creek and Mount de Sales Academy wasn't particularly close, with Indian Creek falling 58-42. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Indian Creek in their matchups with Mount de Sales Academy: they've now lost five in a row.
It was another big night for Shelby Lewis, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds for Mount de Sales Academy. Lewis hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Mackenzie Conley, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Indian Creek now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Mount de Sales Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
Indian Creek will head out on the road to take on Catonsville at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (Catonsville is ranked 138th, while Indian Creek is ranked 131st).
