Baseball Recap: Cedaredge Wins Going Away Against Meeker

Cedaredge hadn't beaten Meeker on the road since May 28, 2021 but that history sure didn't bother them on Saturday. The Bruins blew past the Cowboys 13-1. Considering the Bruins have won 12 matches by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Brady Cooper made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, Dane Brown was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Cedaredge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .559. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Meeker only posted an OBP of .300.

Cedaredge's record is now 16-3. As for Meeker, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-13.
