Section 3 Class B - East recap Oct. 30, 2012
Cazenovia extended the longest winning streak in Section 3 Class B - East this week by beating Camden, 54-7. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Lakers.
Cazenovia took down the Blue Devils 54-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Oneida's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Rory McCarthy threw for 19 yards and Dylan Cafalone had 19 yards receiving. On the ground Cafalone chipped in 167 yards.
Oneida's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Indians feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. McCarthy has thrown for 558 yards and six touchdowns this season, while Kyle Peck has 24 catches for 419 yards. Cafalone leads the league in rushing with 1025 yards.
Tom Niedl's team made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 1,467 from 1,768. The advance stemmed from a 54-7 victory over Camden last week.
