Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Cornerstone Christian). They were the clear victors by  a  16-4 margin over the Norton Science & Language Academy Rockets on Tuesday.
 Lorelei Alexander made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. What's more,  she gave up only two  walks, the fewest she's  had since back in April of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring three  runs and  stealing four bases while going 2-for-2. With that strong performance,  she is now averaging an impressive 1.2  stolen bases per game.
 In other batting news,  Abi Sweeten was a standout: she scored three  runs and  stole three bases while going 2-for-2. She also put up a  home run, which was her first of the season.  Emmaline Chavez was another key player,  scoring three  runs and  stealing five bases while going 2-for-2.
Cornerstone Christian's first  victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Norton Science & Language Academy,  they are  on  a  six-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 0-6.
 Coming up, Cornerstone Christian will face off against Southlands Christian at 2:30  p.m.  on Monday. As for Norton Science & Language Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the  defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Packinghouse Christian Academy at 4:00  p.m.  on April 11.
