The American Heritage Stallions were the 54-52 winner over the Jupiter Warriors when they last played one another back in February of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. American Heritage took a 49-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Jupiter. While losing is never fun, American Heritage can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 155th, while Jupiter is ranked 46th).
American Heritage's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Zack Burrow, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and two steals, and Brendan Gerard who scored nine points along with five steals. Benji Grayer was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two steals.
American Heritage has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-5 record this season. As for Jupiter, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 15-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. The Stallions on the road again on Saturday and play against the Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on January 20th. As for Jupiter, they will take on Dwyer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Dwyer will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
