Even though the Triplains/Brewster Titans have not done well against the Weskan Coyotes recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Triplains/Brewster sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 29-26 win over Weskan. This was payback for Triplains/Brewster, who suffered a 45-25 loss the last time these two teams met.
Triplains/Brewster's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kenlee Mackley, who scored 7 points along with 9 rebounds and 4 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Lacey Bergsten, who scored 10 points.
Triplains/Brewster's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Weskan, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Triplains/Brewster will be playing at home against Wallace County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Weskan is on the road again on Friday and play against Cheylin at 4:30 p.m. on December 8th.
